playing the drums, making money, women, cigarettes, beer, parties, women, poker, gambling, and fast cars.
dislikes .
the division, being found, being double-crossed, being ripped off, small tips, hard alcohol, weapons, and being sick.
fears .
due to the fact his mother was one of the best military operant in the division force, he's scared of them dragging him into the situation. ethan's terrified of shadows and sniffers, too. he had too many run-ins with angry sniffers and shadows.
strengths .
obviously his power is a strength. he can keep people away with it pretty well. he's also quite intelligent, although he may not show it.
weaknesses .
he's gullible and easily manipulative. he will give into anything people say and end up in trouble.
personality .
ethan can be described as being borderline adrenaline-junkie. he prefers to get himself into trouble and walk away like nothing happened. this doesn't mean he likes pain, however. he does like the usual solitary confinement from time-to-time, usually not always by himself -- most likely with a lovely young woman. he does like to be left alone at times and prefers to keep to himself. he's one of those guys who prefer to strut around and act noble. he's actually the exact opposite, but he tries his best. when someone does get into trouble, he may not act right away and go save them, hesitating before hitting someone in the back of the head with a beer bottle or make them temporarily deaf.
however, ethan is still quite nice and gentle. if he seeks attention, he'll do so. but he wants it when he does, not when he doesn't. he's scared of love and falling into it, but he won't come off as skittish around girls of any age. ethan feels he may hurt them and he doesn't want that.
ethan is a prime example of a mixed-blood. his father is the scientist ross freeman, who's family comes from england, scotland, germany, holland, finland, and south america. his mother, julia riley, had blood from spain, france, ireland, wales, and japan. his father was famous for his help in the super-gene serum, while testing only on animals at the time. his mother worked alongside him, helpful as can be. it wasn't until during the late summer when ethan douglas freeman came into the world. he was raised with the help of his grandparents and his old brother, andrew wallace freeman. ethan began to chase around the girls and make friends with the taller boys in his school career. he cared little for his safety, even enjoyed jumping off the highest rock of the pond near his grandparents house. ethan cared very little for school. when he turned six, he earned his first detention, an award appointed only to the worse of children. unfortunately, it was extremely boring. he was, however, proud nevertheless.
when ethan turned eight, he had grown rather tall over his summer vacation, towering over most of the boys his own age. when he turned ten, he met his mother. she found herself an apartment nearby, under the new name of "lauren scott," where she met plenty of friends and spent time with her child. he was thirteen when he was taken by a group of division corpse members, who gave him a serum that allowed him to emit loud screeches that could lead to death. when he turned fourteen, he found out it was true. by an accidental argument with a boy in school, he created the loudest scream he ever could, and had killed him. ethan soon fled and went to live with his older brother, dropping out of high school.
at the age of eighteen, he eventually went on to bartending school and began to work at shepard's. this was a perfect way for him to find others with the same super-gene serum and try to find his mother again.
