likes . The color gray, Chinese food, noodles, her powers, New Zealand, warm weather, dancing, reading, crayons, hats, milkshakes, bracelets, nail polish, hair dye.
dislikes . Curry, guns, gunshots, negative people, football, security cameras, police officers, having to run, passing out, losing her energy, manipulative people, the Division, people who talk in riddles, all-nighters.
fears . Death, losing her abilities, losing her mother, and falling from tall heights, never being able to go home, the Division.
strengths . Thinking ahead, extremely helpful, her mover gene - she can effortlessly move small objects and create force fields.
weaknesses . Easily angered, easily manipulated, and her lack of strength - any hit that hits one of her fields can still exert lots of force on her, she can't move anything large, and anything too extreme causes her to become weak and pass out.
personality . It isn't very difficult to describe Lenore. On the surface, she is extremely outgoing and bubbly. She is always willing to talk to someone new, even when she's in a place that's out of her comfort zone. Of course, this can turn into her talking to those who would hurt her when she's faced with them, either infuriating the other person or getting her into more trouble. She's extremely cheerful and optimistic, often seen as naive. She loves to find the silver lining to every situation. That being said, she likes to see the good in people, and can often be manipulated or blinded by her innocent thought process. She's easily likeable, though her energy and enthusiasm can sometimes rub people in the wrong direction. She's also very affectionate, often times lacing her fingers with those of other people, or leaning her head against them. This also can annoy others or make them uncomfortable.
However, there is a bit more depth to Lenore. She is extremely intelligent, and actually attempts to think through her problems. She doesn't just rush headstrong into a place under control by teh Division, knowing that she could probably get killed. She's a bit of a pacifist, but it's more of a hesitation. Lenore would rather figure out a strategy than wind up with some major injuries. She often times manages to hold in personal information, such as her abilities or her residency. She can become very sarcastic and snappy if she feels that you are probing too much, but even then, it's easy to get her back to her usual self. Lenore can become easily infuriated, but she burns out quickly. She has a horribly guilt complex, and it's very difficult for her to get away with things such as lying or manipulation.
Lenore always adored New Zealand. She grew up in an isolated home along a mountain range, not exactly around very many people. She was home schooled by her father for several years, learning how to read at the age of five. The home would always prove to be her favorite place, specifically designed by her father, Damien. It had large, expansive windows and was known to be a "green" house. She grew up with two older brothers, Chase and Cable. They were a happy family, it seemed. Her mother, Antoinette, had fled the Division to settle down with children and a husband after being threatened to allowing them to experiment upon one of her children. Antoinette had also been exposed, though her powers were much more dramatic, and she had been exposed years before. Lenore discovered her powers at age eleven. Her brothers were climbing a tree near the house, when Chase fell. He never hit the ground, only to be held up by a field that Lenore had created.
When Lenore was twelve, the family moved to the United States, constantly bouncing from city to city in an attempt to keep everyone safe. Her mother had grown up a party girl in Jersey, and while she liked the lovely sights of New Zealand, she wanted to go back home. It was then that Lenore began to attend a public school, falling in love with learning. When she was thirteen, and broke up a school fight using her abilities. It was then that her family knew that they would be found. They hadn't been discovered yet, but her little stunt would prove to be difficult to counter. At the age of fifteen, Lenore left her family. She promised that she would eventually return, but it was better that her being with them. The night she left, agents broke in. Her oldest brother perished in the encounter, and for a while, it was thought that Antoinette had also been killed. It wrecked Lenore, but she knew she had to leave that life to keep the others safe. Seven months after Lenore had moved to Chicago, her mother showed up at her front door. She had survived the encounter, and spent several months tracking her daughter with the help of a sniff.
Her mother left after that brief meeting, but she still occassionally writes or calls from pay phones. It is this assurance that her remaining family members are alive that gives Lenore hope. She lives with a younger teenager who was exposed to the shadow gene about a year before. He has yet to exhibit most of the abilities, but occassionally he will drop off the map. Lenore figured they have a better chance of survival together, but things are still dangerous.
